Keep Florida Beautiful is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who bring strong experience from business, industry, tourism, government, affiliate organizations and professional organizations. Together they create and manage programs that are practical, reasonable and sustainable. The Board meets twice a year (January & June) and meeting announcements will be posted here.
Recycle & Solid Waste Program Manager, Publix Super Market
Kim is the Recycle and Solid Waste Program Manager at Publix in Lakeland, Florida and is responsible for companywide recycling and disposal services for more than 1,076 retail grocery stores in six states, as well as Publix’s manufacturing, distribution centers and support facilities. She is a graduate of Warner Southern College with a degree in Organizational Management. Kim enjoys serving on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because she wants to do her part to maintain Florida’s beauty by contributing to an organization that is focused on a cleaner environment, recycling and waste reduction.

Liz is the Executive Director of the Florida Beverage Association and is located in St. Augustine, Florida where she oversees public policy initiatives and works with local and state governments on issues impacting the Beverage Industry. She is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and a Master’s of Business Administration. Liz and her family enjoy living an active lifestyle in the great outdoors. Dawn is the Director of Communications and Community Relations for Waste Management Inc. of Florida. Based in Pompano Beach, Florida, she is responsible for external and internal communications and community relations for Waste Management throughout Florida. Dawn is a graduate of Northwestern University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. Dawn serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because she’s honored to be part of a dynamic and engaged organization of state leaders who, working through the organization’s network of affiliates, is committed to improving the environment of Florida.

Erin Black is the Vice President of Sustainability and Risk Management for Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, based in Tampa. In this role, Erin leads the company's strategy and execution of environmental, health, safety, and loss prevention with proven enterprise-wide strategy creation. She is a graduate of Keene State College with two Bachelor of Science degrees in Industrial Safety and Business Management. She also holds a Masters degree from Drake University in Adult Learning, Development, and Performance. As a native Floridian, Erin is excited to serve on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board where she can focus on continuing her passion to create an environmentally literate society that understands why environmental stewardship is critical now and for the generations to come.

Steve is the Senior Director of Governmental Affairs for PepsiCo based in Bradenton, Florida. In his role, he represents all the PepsiCo brands including Tropicana, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, Quaker and Gatorade, in 11 states in the Southeast and Midwest. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. Steve serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board to support the effort of thousands of volunteers throughout the State that work to pick up litter, increase recycling and beautify our communities.

Chuck serves as Vice President, Public Affairs for Waste Management Inc. and is responsible for government affairs, community relations and communications in the State of Florida. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Chuck serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because he believes the efforts of the organization, the affiliates and the many volunteers allow for a tremendous Return on Investment for the State of Florida., making our state a better place to live and visit.

Keyna is President of Public Affairs Consultants, Inc. in Tallahassee, Florida where she works with a variety of legislative clients in the following areas: solid waste, environmental issues, transportation issues, telecommunications, agriculture, water and general business issues. Keyna serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because she believes our economy depends on Florida being a clean, vibrant state and that Keep Florida Beautiful plays a big part in keeping litter off our roads & beaches and supporting communities in their beautification efforts.

Kevin is the senior editor (content director) for VISIT FLORIDA, the state's official tourism marketing organization. In 2011, VISIT FLORIDA hired Kevin to build a Florida network of journalists to write, film and photograph stories about Florida travel destinations and experiences, and distribute that journalism on as many platforms as possible. A graduate of the University of Scranton and Syracuse University, Kevin is a Philadelphia native and remains hopelessly connected to the city's sports teams. Kevin serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful board because he treasures our natural resources; believes in development as long as it mandates the preservation of -- even better, creation of -- public green space; stands for preserving the integrity of our public lands as a legacy to future generations.

David is an attorney and shareholder in the firm of Gardner, Bist, Bowden, Bush, Dee La Via and Wright, P.A. in Tallahassee, Florida. He practices in the areas of environmental and administrative law with a special expertise in solid waste management facilities and programs. He is a graduate of Emory University and the Florida State University College of Law. A former volunteer in the Peace Corps (Nepal and Ethiopia), David serves on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because it enables him to combine his desire to work on community projects with his experience in environmental issues.

Jerrie is Director of Public Access Services at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Tallahassee, Florida. She helps provide opportunities for Floridians and visitors to view wildlife and experience the rugged expanses of Florida's wildlife management area system. Jerrie enjoys serving on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board because of the opportunity to enhance the beauty and environment of Florida’s communities working with such dedicated board members, affiliates and volunteers.

Lisa is the Director of Human Resources for ReadyRefresh, the home and office delivery service of Nestlé Waters North America (NWNA). She is based in Tampa, FL and leads the people strategy for over 1600 associates across the east coast. Lisa is a graduate of Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. She also holds a Masters Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Human Resources Management. Lisa and her family are active in their community and enjoy outdoor activities. Debra is the Executive Director of Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful and is based in Hillsborough County, Florida. She and her team provide environmental education and opportunities for volunteers to give back to their community through cleanups, habitat restoration and beautification projects. Debra enjoys serving on the KFB Board because she values a proactive approach to collaboration and feels working together we can make the greatest impact.

Tony is the Executive Director of Keep Brevard Beautiful, Inc. in Cocoa, Florida. He and his team strive to keep their communities clean with a focus on eradicating litter. Tony served as a Cocoa Beach City Commission and in the Florida House of Representatives. He attended Calhoon MEBA Engineering School in Maryland. As someone who grew up in and enjoys Florida's great outdoor environment, Tony enjoys serving on the Keep Florida Beautiful Board so he can work with others who are working as hard as they can to keep Florida's future sustainable.

Wendi is the program coordinator for Keep Sarasota County Beautiful in Sarasota, FL. She works with volunteers and key stakeholders throughout Sarasota County to help maintain a clean, healthy and litter-free community. Wendi graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor’s degree in Education/Health Fitness Studies. As a KFB board member, she is looking forward to representing the local level affiliates and helping KFB advance its mission of inspiring, educating and empowering people in Florida to improve and beautify their community environments.
